Do I have the same rights as a car?
A basic lesson, pedestrians actually have a greater protection and greater rights than the operator of a motor vehicle and the reason simply is because they can’t avoid or move as quickly to avoid a collision. They are actually in a better position from consideration of the degree of responsibility than the operator of a motor vehicle. They’re also looked upon, of course, with more sympathy, generally by a jury, if the case goes to trial. s
