What is a parenting plan?
A parenting plan is a document developed and agreed to by the parties of a minor child or children and approved by the court, or if the parents cannot agree, it’s established by the court. The parenting plan governs the relationship between the parents regarding the child, encompassing parental responsibility and time sharing. A parenting plan may address issues such as: child’s education; health care; out-of-pocket expenses; extra curricular expenses; physical, social, and emotional well-being; and must include a time sharing schedule.
